(Mark 16:15)

Entering the Mission Field
At the heart of all effective missionary work lies one unchanging truth: God’s Word is the life-giving rain and snow that comes from heaven to nourish and transform hearts. Spring of Water International Ministries (SOWIM) exists to serve as faithful vessels, carrying this precious nourishment – the life-giving Word of God – to every nation through multilingual discipleship Bible study series in Chinese, English, Arabic, Spanish, and other languages.
Just as Isaiah 55:10-11 declares that God’s Word comes down like rain and snow from heaven, never returning empty but watering the earth to make it bud and flourish, we have witnessed this truth in our global ministry. Our comprehensive study materials serve as channels in God’s hands: in-depth yet accessible study guides paired with immersive biblical films featuring expert scriptural exposition, on-location footage of biblical archaeological sites and artifacts, vivid 3D animations and illustrations, and dramatic reenactments that bring Scripture to life.
These resources, when coupled with Scripture study, become indispensable tools for receiving God’s nourishing Word. They have proven highly effective in church Sunday schools, fellowship Bible studies, and mission fields worldwide – not because of their own power, but because they faithfully carry the heavenly nourishment that never fails: God’s living Word.
We thank God that we have been able to witness how the Holy Spirit uses these materials to carry God’s Word like life-giving rain to different nations, proclaiming biblical truth in local languages and becoming valuable resources for healthy church growth and deep-rooted Christian faith. We are grateful to serve His people and spread His Word through the materials we have developed, knowing that His Word will accomplish the purpose for which He sent it.

Spanish
According to statistics, there are currently over 595 million people worldwide who speak Spanish as their native or second language, making it the second most spoken language globally. Spanish is primarily used in Latin America and Spain and is recognized as one of the official languages of the United Nations and the European Union.
Since 2016, God has moved five churches in Southern California to share a common vision, leading them to unite in launching a missionary evangelistic ministry in Mexico. Due to the lack of spiritual resources in the region, local pastors were in need of solid biblical training. God moved Pastor Stephen Wang from Evangelical Formosan Church in Irvine to see the value of SOWIM’s Discipleship Bible Study materials and recognize that they are highly suitable for pastors and co-workers in Mexico.
In a marvelous way, God built a bridge between SOWIM and Spanish translators, officially beginning the journey of translating 1 Samuel Discipleship Bible Study Guide into Spanish in the spring of 2023. In August 2023, we published 1 Samuel and 2 Samuel in March 2025.
In June 2025 we released the Spanish edition of Ruth and held a training seminar for pastors and ministry co-workers at the EFCI Mission Center, which drew an enthusiastic response. Many pastors expressed a desire to obtain additional copies of the The Book of Ruth Discipleship Bible Study Guide for use in their churches. The Spanish-language volumes currently in print are 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, and Ruth. Joshua is now being actively edited, with plans to use it in discipleship seminars during the 2026 short-term mission to Mexico.

This has been a wonderful and gratitude-filled journey. Throughout the process, God has allowed the SOWIM team to witness how He continues to fulfill the mission He has given us—
“Giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater.” (Isaiah 55:10)

English
According to Ethnologue: Languages of the World, English is the most widely spoken language across the globe. That’s why producing and distributing the English edition of the SOWIM Discipleship Bible Study series has always been a vital and strategic part of our ministry work.
English plays a vital role in helping us spread God’s Word to the ends of the earth. Through these English biblical resources, we not only support and equip local churches in the United States, but more importantly, we create opportunities for mission partners around the world—those who speak other languages—to discover SOWIM. This opens the door for further translation of the SOWIM Discipleship Bible Study series into even more languages, extending the reach of God’s truth to every corner of the globe.
We are honored to partner with a team of U.S.-based, professional, and devout translators and proofreaders to provide rigorous quality assurance for SOWIM’s English-language multimedia Bible materials. To date, the completed English books and videos include: Esther, Ruth, Ezra, Nehemiah, Joshua, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Chronicles, 2 Chronicles, 1 Kings, and Job. We are also actively producing enhanced editions of Ruth and Joshua; Proverbs is likewise in active production, with releases planned for late this year and early next year.
These completed multimedia Discipleship Bible Study sets are not only engaging but have been affirmed by many around the world. Our mission partners in Egypt, Pakistan, Nigeria, and Nepal have also come to know SOWIM through the English editions of our multimedia Bible study materials. As the Bible delares, “but the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.” (Habakkuk 2:14). Your prayers and donations in supporting the English translation ministry will make impact on this generation, and make ways for God’s words to fill the empty and wandering souls of the world with true joy and hope.
Would you also like to join us in tilling the soil and sowing seeds for God’s Kingdom? If you fell moved by the mission of English translation, we warmly invite you to support this work through your generous donations!

Arabic
According to a 2022 global survey, Arabic—previously ranked the fifth most commonly used language—has now risen to fourth place. Current statistics show that there are approximately 295 million Arabic speakers worldwide, primarily located in Central Asia, North Africa, and the Middle East.
Pastor Basim Adley of First Evangelical Church of Asyut and Dr. Hisham Kamel of Arabic Communication Centre are the faithful and important mission partners of SOWIM. They have helped SOWIM organise many pastoral conferences in cities such as Cairo, El Menia and Asyut, providing SOWIM biblical resources to more than 600 pastors of 200 different churches. To date, we have published Arabic-language Bible study materials for Joshua, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Chronicles, 2 Chronicles, Ruth, Job, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther. We have also released multimedia teaching resources for Ruth and Esther; the Ezra video is currently still in production.
Translating Arabic-language Bible study materials is vitally important. The Arabic version of Bible study materials play a key role to loosen and level up the hard ground of gospel. Dr. Kamel once shared an example: He was invited to visit a prime minister (now deceased) in the Middle East. He presented the Arabic Bible in his hand as a gift. The prime minister told Dr. Kamel that he had always been curious about the Christian Bible, but nobody had ever shared with him the gospel, or even handed him a Bible. He was very happy that he finally had one in his possession.
The Discipleship Bible Study series are written in a style that is easy to understand and suitable for the use of small groups and church fellowship. They are not only recommended and supported by Dr. Kamel and Pastor Adley, but they are also helping in ensuring the translation quality. Cairo’s only Christian Bible seminary is glad to adopt SOWIM’s multimedia Bible study materials to train seminary students, church staff, and missionaries. Every year, via “Muslim 1000 project”, 1000 sets of Arabic version of these Discipleship Bible Study series were printed and distributed in Egypt, illuminating the land with God’s words.
We sincerely invite you to pray and donate for the “1000 Muslims” initiative! We welcome you to sow seeds together with us, and we must rejoice in the harvest!

Napali
Nepal, often described as a “paradise” for its breathtaking alpine landscapes, is home to around 29 million people despite its relatively small land area. According to the 2011 population census, more than 81% of the population identify as Hindu, 9% as Buddhist, 4.4% as Muslim, and only 1.4% as Christian—making Christianity a small but growing minority.
Although there are only about 8,000 Catholics in Nepal, estimates suggest there are between 3 to 5 million Christians worshiping in approximately 12,000 churches—most of them located in Nepal’s impoverished rural heartlands. The World Christian Database has identified Nepal as one of the fastest-growing Christian communities in the world.
Through SOWIM’s mission outreach, we had the privilege of meeting local pastor Rev. Milan Sedai and gaining a clear understanding of their need for Bible study materials, so we launched the translation of the Nepali edition of the RuthBible study. During the pandemic, churches suffered severe financial strain, and many pastors passed away from illness, creating a “leadership vacuum”; many gatherings were also forced online. In this era of forced transition, multimedia Bible study has become mainstream. After several years of effort, the Nepali version of The Book of Ruth Bible Study Guide was officially published in 2025, and we earnestly hope that the translation of the next Nepali volume, The Book of Nehemiah Discipleship Bible Study Guide, can be completed as soon as possible and that all of SOWIM’s published Bible study materials will likewise be translated and produced, so that people who hunger for the gospel can learn God’s Word in their own language through SOWIM’s multimedia resources and internet technology.
Would you also like to work with us in tilling the soil and sowing seeds? If you are moved by the work of Nepali translation, you are welcome to support us through donations!
