“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.” – Luke 4:18

Real Needs, Eternal Impact

In Mexico, we are witnessing a beautiful phenomenon: despite facing economic challenges, the hunger for God’s Word is stronger than ever before. Tens of thousands of families are seeking resources for spiritual growth.
In regions like Ensenada, we have discovered:

  • Over 20% of the population lives in extreme poverty, unable to afford basic necessities
  • Many truth-seeking believers cannot afford Bible study materials due to economic hardship
  • Local churches and groups desperately need free Bible study guides to serve their congregations

The problem is: Although we have completed Spanish translation, printing, and distribution of hundreds of Discipleship Bible Study Guides, it is still far from sufficient to meet this hunger.

The Impact of the SOWIM Discipleship Bible Study Series

Our discipleship Bible study guides are not just books – they are life-changing tools:

Progressive Discipleship Training – Helps new believers build a solid foundation of faith
📖 In-depth Bible Study – Guides believers to personally discover the truth of God’s Word
👥 Small Group Study Design – Promotes fellowship and mutual support
🌱 Spiritual Growth Pathway – Complete journey from new believer to maturity

Your Donation Will Create a Multiplying Effect

Each study guide is not used alone – it is passed along, shared, and replicated in the community:

$50 = Print 5 study guides, serving one small group study
$150 = Launch a church’s discipleship Bible study program
$250 = Provide study materials for an entire congregation

The Harvest is Ready

Throughout Mexico, we continually hear the same cry: “We want to learn, but we need materials.” “Our young people hunger for truth.” “Please help us equip our leaders.”
This is not charity – this is investment in the expansion of God’s Kingdom.

“From Darkness to Light: When Gang Members Become Pastors” – A Mexico Mission Story

As part of SOWIM’s core missionary vision, we partnered with EMCI (Evangelical Mission Conference International) to host the “Return to God’s Word” Pastors’ Book of Ruth Bible Study Conference on July 19, 2025—bringing God’s Word and power to remote regions of Mexico. This ministry is God’s calling upon SOWIM—to create multimedia, multilingual Bible study videos and educational guides that transcend language barriers and geographical boundaries, carrying God’s Word to the ends of the earth.

Our commitment to linguistic accessibility has already borne fruit through extensive translation work, translating Bible study materials into Arabic and freely distributing thousands of copies in Egypt and other Arabic-speaking countries to strengthen believers’ spiritual lives. However, God’s work during this Mexico mission far exceeded our imagination.

During our mission trip and conference, the Lord revealed to us why He had so clearly opened the door to Mexico for us. We witnessed a striking contrast: though they were in extreme material poverty, their hunger for God’s Word was so intense that it deeply moved our hearts. This experience confirmed a truth: feeding on God’s Word is at the heart of all missionary work.

The conference gathered 40 participants, each carrying extraordinary testimonies of God’s redemptive power. These were not ordinary stories—they were powerful witnesses to the fundamental transformation of the gospel’s power. Former gang members and drug addicts stood before us as living testimonies to the gospel’s power, now serving as dedicated pastors who have completely surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ. Each shared how the Savior rescued them from the depths of darkness and brought them into His marvelous light, not only fundamentally changing their circumstances but transforming their eternal destiny.

What most profoundly touched our mission team was an unexpected revelation: we came to serve but found ourselves being served in ways we never anticipated. These dear brothers and sisters, despite living in materially impoverished circumstances, displayed such rich faith and spiritual maturity that we felt deeply humbled and inspired. Their authentic testimonies, unwavering hope, and passionate dedication to serving God and people became a spiritual mirror for us, reflecting the wonderful work of God’s grace in broken lives.

In those sacred moments, we experienced God’s wonderful principle—how He uses what the world considers weak to strengthen the strong, how He speaks through those who might be overlooked by the world, and how His love transcends all barriers of language, culture, and circumstances.

Although we Chinese and Mexicans come from two different languages and two completely different cultural backgrounds, we deeply felt that we are all one body in Christ. Through the Holy Spirit dwelling in believers’ hearts, there were no barriers between us whatsoever. Language differences became insignificant, cultural boundaries disappeared, because we share the same Lord, the same faith, the same hope. In the unity of the Holy Spirit, we were no longer foreigners or strangers, but brothers and sisters in God’s family, bound together by the same love.

Hallelujah! When God’s Word touched hearts through the Book of Ruth Bible study, when the Holy Spirit moved freely among us, we witnessed miracles! He used lives rescued from the depths of sin to tell us: no matter who or where, God’s love never ceases. May all glory, praise, and power be given to our God!

We want to especially thank those visionary pioneers who established EMCI, and those leaders who saw the importance of God’s Word in missionary work and chose to partner with SOWIM. Without their faith and vision, this wonderful journey would not have happened. May this be only the beginning—the mission of sowing God’s Word in Mexico will continue, transforming more lives and bringing true hope to those who need it most. Let us together witness God’s kingdom continuously expanding through His mighty Word!
